Robin de Puy

Did you know..?

The sister of our owner, Robin de Puy, is a renowned Dutch photographer, born and raised in the family hotel in Oude-Tonge. She graduated in 2009 from the Fotoacademie Rotterdam and won the prestigious Photo Academy Award that same year. Robin is best known for her striking portraits of both celebrities and everyday people. Her work has been published in New York Magazine, Bloomberg Businessweek, ELLE, L’Officiel, and De Volkskrant. In 2013, she received the Dutch National Portrait Prize for a portrait of fellow photographer An-Sofie Kesteleyn. In 2015, she traveled 10,000 km across the U.S. on a Harley Davidson, resulting in the book If This Is True, I’ll Never Have to Leave Home Again and an exhibition at the Fotomuseum Den Haag. She is currently working on the project AMERICAN, exploring the stories of ordinary Americans in times of political division.
